De Brook Lodge a luxury, purpose-built residential and dementia care home in Urmston are busy creating a place for memories with their very own Memory Lane Café.
Entirely focused on person-centred care the team at De Brook Lodge have been working hard to create an environment that is very special for those residents with dementia.
The home which already features a landscaped sensory garden, a cinema room and family room, as well as an on-site hairdressing salon has been working closely with Find Memory Care to create their very own Memory Lane Café.
Danielle Aikenhead- Lifestyle Manager commented,
“The Memory Lane Café will be used as a place where everybody can get together and take a trip down memory lane. From reminiscing sessions, knit and natter clubs, arts and crafts. Coffee afternoons, cheese and wine evenings and lots more exciting events. Our memory lane café is a place to indulge and share special memories. Looking back on old memorabilia keeping our minds young and active. This is an area where resident, staff, visitors and family members can indulge in enjoyable recollection of past important events and special memories to them. “
